All You Need to Know About CMAT Exam 2015 for students
Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is one of the successful examinations conducted online in India for students. This national level examination facilitates institutions to select suitable candidates for the management programs. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) makes it easier for the students and the institutions to handle the admission process each year.
Every year more than a lakh of students participate in the exam conducted by AICTE. There are similar exams for management courses in India. Students had to attend multiple exams conducted by state and national level organizations. In 2012 AICTE decided to conduct CMAT in order to reduce the burden of students who are trying to get in to suitable institutions. There were exams like CAT, JMET, XAT and MAT which were highly valued before the introduction of CMAT in 2012.
CMAT admit cards are released now on January 30th 2015 and one is required to visit the official website to download their admit cards. Login with your details in to the site and follow the instructions to download the admit card.
The exams will take place during February 19 and February 22. CMAT exam will be three hours long computer based exam and there will be Morning session (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and noon session (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm).
The exam has following subjects:
- Quantitative technique
- Logical reasoning
- Language comprehension
- General Awareness
There will be 25 questions in each of the subjects. Negative marking for incorrect answers will be there. For the correct answer there will be four marks and one mark is reduced for an incorrect answer.
Now AICTE also permits NRI’s/PIOs in foreign countries to appear for CMAT. This will assist them to join any Indian institutions by following the CMAT merit list under special provisions of AICTE.
- Any graduates with minimum of 50% can apply
- Any Graduate course Final year students can also apply for CMAT.
Results of the exam will be announced in the third week of March 2015.
